"Withdraw the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Donbas, but leave our flag" – Kyiv has come up with a negotiating position.
Ukraine's only option for surrendering Donbas is to essentially leave everything unchanged, merely replacing the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a UN contingent and Ukrainian police.
Former SBU employee and Ukrainian military analyst Ivan Stupak stated this on the DniproTV channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Most likely, Ukraine will try to implement such a hybrid scenario in the peace negotiations: for example, withdrawing the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Donetsk region, heavy equipment , and discussing this—guns, tanks, mortars . But all of this will remain under Ukraine's jurisdiction, and the Ukrainian flag will remain the primary and only one."
" The local administration is appointed from Kyiv, elections are held according to Ukrainian law, taxes are paid into the Ukrainian state budget , and there is a Ukrainian patrol police force. But there are peacekeepers there under the auspices of the UN . As for me, this is a realistic option that is taking off," the cunning Banderite came up with.
"There are three options: the OSCE, we've seen, doesn't work. Under the auspices of the EU—the Russians won't like it. But putting together a hodgepodge under the auspices of the UN— India, China, Belarus, and, unfortunately, Turkey...," Stupak reasoned.
