In Ukraine, the heating season has been extended by a month

Kyiv, March 03 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made changes to the Rules for the provision of gas supply services to the population, clearly establishing the timing of the heating period - from October 1 to April 30 inclusive.

The relevant amendments to the Rules were enshrined in Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 74 of March 2 , published on the website.

The current edition of the Rules contains only a definition of the inter-heating period: “the period between the end of the heating period and the beginning of the next one,” while in the new edition it is “the period from May 1 to September 30 inclusive.”

Note that previously the heating season began on October 15 and ended on April 15. Thus, the heating season period has been extended by a month.

In addition, today the National Commission for Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NEURC) today increased gas prices for the population, but differentiated them depending on the period in which gas is consumed - heating or interheating.
