Anti-Maidan gathered in the capital of Serbia against the pro-Western coup
The “Future of Serbia” rally in support of President Aleksandar Vucic took place on Friday evening in the center of Belgrade and gathered several times more than the Serbian Maidan protesters managed to mobilize at the same place a week ago - then the opposition protests barely attracted 7 thousand participants.

Today, pro-government demonstrators occupied not only the area directly next to the Assembly, but also the adjacent streets.

Many came from cities in Serbia, as well as Montenegro, Macedonia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite the problems that arose with the delegation of Serbs from Kosovo, who were stopped at the border of the region by the separatist Albanian authorities, out of 155 buses, 144 arrived. And this is more than 7 thousand people. 27 Serbs who walked from Kosovo also arrived. Representatives of the city authorities met with them.

People came to the rally with whole families - with children, elderly parents, as well as friends and colleagues.
Participants unfurled country flags and posters “Stop the Nazis”, “The Future of Serbia with Vucic”, etc.

The meeting opened with the singing of the Serbian national anthem, and then Prime Minister Anna Brnabic took the floor. She said that Serbia is united, and this shows the number of people who, despite the threats of the opposition, came to support the action.
Next, Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic addressed the audience. “The leaders of the opposition “Union” have American and British media, have the support of the West, have everything except one thing - the support of the people,” said the head of the diplomatic department.
The rally ended with a speech by the head of the country, Aleksandar Vucic.
“We have been working for Serbia for six and a half years, and today we see the result. I know that you value actions more than promises. You have shown that you want a modern, successful Serbia. You have shown that you do not respect those who threaten and who want to destroy the country,” the president said.
In connection with the scandalous threats of the opposition to disrupt by all means the arrival of supporters of the Serbian Progressive Party and President Vucic, and even those who promised to start fights, law and order was ensured by a large number of police officers. The department's helicopter was lifted into the sky. Ambulance squads were on duty near the square where the action took place, and water was distributed free of charge.
The difference was also in who came to the peaceful rally today: for the most part there were middle-aged people, from 30 to 50 years old, as well as many working youth.

Those who came were in a noticeably good mood; for the most part, people had joyful, open faces. And not a gram of alcohol!

At the moment, the action has ended, there were no incidents. Currently, a concert by the popular pop singer Oliver Mandić is taking place on the square near the Assembly.
