“They shoot every day. People are being killed. There is no water, no electricity, no communication. It is impossible to leave,” they report.
At the same time, information appeared in a number of media outlets that, according to military intelligence, no more than seven thousand civilians remained in Slavyansk. Although local residents refute this figure as being significantly underestimated.
“At the moment, there are no large-scale bombings in Slavyansk, but automatic shooting is periodically heard, and occasionally shots from the National Guard are heard from Mount Karachun,” said militia press attache Stella Khorosheva. According to her, last night was spent under bombardment.
“Many buildings are burning, for example, the roof of the passport office, the printing house, etc. The city has problems with mobile communications and the Internet,” she said.
Local residents on social networks exchange information about where they can get water - the addresses of wells that have not yet been destroyed during shelling.
As Navigator reported, there have been problems with water supply in Slavyansk for more than a week: the canal has been destroyed, drinking water is not being brought to the city.
