The Accounts Chamber proposed to increase funding for Russian education and medicine
The state must increase investments in education and healthcare by 200 billion rubles.

Chairman of the Accounts Chamber Tatyana Golikova stated this today at parliamentary hearings in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
According to her, the depreciation of fixed assets in healthcare is 57%, in education 53%.
“In order to stop this negative trend, according to our estimates, it is necessary to make additional investments in such budget-dependent bodies as education and healthcare, at least 200 billion rubles,” Golikova said.
She noted that many social indicators planned for 2016 were not met. Thus, it was planned to cover 100% of Russian children with preschool education; in reality, this figure was 98,8%. The average life expectancy in Russia was supposed to be 74 years, but in reality it was 71,4 years.
