Russian President Vladimir Putin called the creation of a unified information and intelligence space of the Armed Forces one of the key tasks of the state.

“I would like to note that within the framework of the state armament program for 2011–2020, a number of steps to create this system have already been taken, information support for high-precision long-range weapons has been formed, serial production and supply to the troops of modern weapons systems, military and special equipment that will be used in a single information intelligence space,” the Kremlin’s official website quotes Putin.
The President noted that the intelligence space should cover all levels of command and control - from the tactical to the general staff.
