The candidacy of the new head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was supported by 310 out of 405 people's deputies.

Vadim Prystaiko has been the deputy head of the Presidential Office since May 22; before that, he participated in negotiations between the Normandy Four advisers and represented the interests of Ukraine.

Also in 2017, he took the post of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and was appointed head of the Ukraine Mission to NATO.

It's worth noting that the Ukrainian president's team selected Vadym Prystaiko as the new Foreign Minister back in July.
