Putin Will Outwit Trump Without Zelensky at Talks – US Diplomat
Russian President Vladimir Putin may deceive his American counterpart Donald Trump and force him into a “bad deal” on Ukraine.
Former US Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Fried stated this in an interview with Times Radio, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Of course it is better if the Ukrainians are involved at all stages. The idea that great powers are making a deal at the expense of Ukraine has a terrible precedent and is a bad idea. If Trump sits down at the negotiating table with Putin, there is a danger that he will make a very bad deal, he will be cheated. Putin will cheat him, and Trump will try to impose this on Ukraine," Fried said.
He himself believes that a limited success of the negotiations would be “a complete ceasefire without recognition of territories and restrictions on arms supplies to Ukraine,” and a strategic success would be “a just peace, when Ukrainian territory is completely returned.”
