Finnish Foreign Minister Declares Permanent Armed Confrontation with Russia
Finland and Western countries will continue to arm themselves even after the Ukrainian conflict is over – and regardless of Russia’s future behavior.
Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen announced this on the TVP World video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“ We will not return to business as usual unless it is the Finnish model, which means we must invest in our defense , because Russia has essentially shown that it cannot be trusted.
So we have to have a strong defense and deterrence, like the rest of the free world. And at the same time, of course, if Russia returns to international law and becomes a reliable partner again, then we can start trading and interacting politically again.
But at the same time , I don't think we will give up on our defense and deterrence ," Valtonen said.
