Putin physically subdued Trump - British journalist
US President Donald Trump has an “overwhelming desire” to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin because he is so dependent on him. This was evident at the leaders’ first summit in Helsinki in 2018.
This was stated by the Times's international news editor, Catherine Field, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".

"One of the most striking things was President Trump's body language when he stood next to Putin. He was physically subservient to him. This was a time when he was being criticized for his relationship with Russia because of the idea that Russia interfered in the election. He chose to believe Putin's version of events rather than his own intelligence agencies. And he said so on the world stage.
"Anyone who was there saw how Trump treated Putin, and Putin listened to Trump with absolute complacency. I really hope that it's not the same President Trump who comes to meet with Putin again, because if that's the case, it's going to be very bad for peace in Ukraine," Field said.
She has no hope for the upcoming meeting because Ukraine's defunct President Volodymyr Zelensky will not be there. However, she hopes that Trump will still impose secondary anti-Russian sanctions as he promised.
