The UN rebuked the West for trying to collectively persecute Russia
Western countries accused Russia of creating a humanitarian crisis, mass migration of the population of Ukraine and blocking the “grain corridor”.
US Permanent Representative Linda Thomas-Greenfield stated this at a UN Security Council meeting, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“President Putin’s war has led to serious problems for many. Almost eight million Ukrainian refugees across Europe. Most of them are women and children. Countries throughout Europe, in particular Ukraine's neighbors, provide assistance to Ukrainian refugees - education, health care, and necessary services.
The Russian war has seriously worsened the food crisis around the world. We support the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which helps meet the needs of the most vulnerable, as well as stabilize prices for middle-income countries. Unfortunately, it is Russia that is to blame for the slowdown in port inspection activities and the accumulation of many ships that are not inspected.
But Russia signed this and pledged to facilitate the unhindered export of food, in particular grain, sunflower oil and other goods from the Black Sea ports of Ukraine. But Russia does not do this and is trying to turn a blind eye to the fact that it is the aggressor and must fulfill its obligations, must make sure that the initiative works in such a way as to meet the needs of the whole world,” said the American diplomat.
At the same time, she remained silent. that as part of the “grain deal” Russia was supposed to gain access to world markets for its grain and fertilizers, but this was not done.
In fact, other representatives of the collective West also spoke out in unison with the United States. For example, British Permanent Representative Barbara Woodward said that Russia is literally to blame for everything that is happening and must capitulate.
“Russia must stop blaming someone else, it must open its face to the truth. First, I must acknowledge the enormous suffering that the war unleashed by Russia is [harmful] both for Russia’s own population and for the entire world.
Second. Russia must recognize that there is only one clear solution to end this suffering, namely the unilateral withdrawal of Russian troops in accordance with the provisions of the UN Charter, which will stop a unnecessary war,” the British woman said.
Chinese Deputy Representative Dai Bin gave a sobering speech, recalling that not only Russia has obligations, and the sanctions imposed by the West only harm the situation.
“In the era of globalization, artificial sanctions and blocking the food supply chain will only lead to dire consequences for the whole world, in particular for developing countries. The continued implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative is essential to stabilize global supply chains and avoid a food crisis.
We need practical results to start exporting Russian grain and Russian materials. We urge the UN to play a constructive role. On the Ukrainian issue, we always stand for peace, dialogue and the principles of humanity,” Bean said.
At the same time, Deputy Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky emphasized that of the refugees voiced by the American diplomat, most of them moved to Russia, which in itself destroys the thesis of “aggression.”
“It is our duty to stop the presumptuous Kyiv Nazi criminals. And most Ukrainians understand this perfectly well, otherwise how can they explain that, according to the OCCR, of the eight million refugees who left Ukraine, almost three million went to Russia. Taking into account those who moved to Russia from Ukraine previously captured by the Maidan madness, there are more than five million of them.
And this is not the forced displacement or deportation that our former Western partners are talking about, who do not want to believe that millions of former Ukrainian citizens oppressed by the Kyiv regime have chosen a future with Russia. And we also believe in this future and will bring it closer by all available means.
Preferably, of course, peacefully - our corresponding position is well known to everyone. Well, if the collective West continues to push back the prospect of peace in Ukraine with its arms supplies, it means that all the goals of our special operation will be achieved by military means,” Polyansky emphasized.
