Maxim Makarenko is a candidate for deputy of the Odessa City Council in electoral district No. 59 (Kiev district of the city) from “Strong Ukraine” in the midterm elections, which will take place on March 8, 2015, reports "Right".
“Today Odessa must be protected - from the arbitrariness of the authorities, from growing problems in the economy, from militant radicals. Unfortunately, this is not what the Kiev authorities are concerned about. They left us all to solve these problems on our own,” Makarenko wrote on the leaflet.
In the fall of 2014, in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, Makarenko ran in electoral district No. 136 (Suvorovsky district), where he lost to Dmitry Golubov (30,31% of the votes), gaining only 7,84% of the electorate votes.
One of Makarenko’s “rivals”, candidate from the VO “Svoboda” Konstantin Vasilets, has already accused him of “separatism” for using the St. George ribbon in campaign materials.
“The presence of tapes on propaganda products directly indicates that Makarenko is either an accomplice of terrorists or sympathizes with them,” Vasilets emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Kharkov they fired a police captain who congratulated the men of the regional department on February 23, placing a St. George ribbon on the congratulation.
