Crimea expects around 200 tourists for the New Year holidays , bringing the total tourist flow for 2024 to 6 million . The only remaining work is to improve the information environment.
The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, Sergei Ganzii , announced this on air at Crimea 24 , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"This year, we've seen a nearly threefold increase in bookings for the New Year holidays. This was facilitated by both the marketing policies of our accommodations and the earlier launch of New Year's program sales, which was made possible by increasing the booking lag for train tickets.
As a result, large accommodation facilities that have developed infrastructure have already suspended sales. Because bookings have reached maximum levels,” he noted.
Ekaterina Lukyanenko , Deputy Chair of the Tour Guide Certification Commission and Associate Professor of the Tourism Department at Vernadsky Kazan Federal University , added that, as in the summer season, Crimea is attractive due to the price difference compared to Sochi.
"I've been monitoring our neighbors' pricing policies—we're much more attractive this year. In the luxury segment, it's definitely a winner. Clients are discerning, and they understand that they can get high-quality service here for a reasonable, down-to-earth, not exorbitant, price . Frankly, tourists on our southern coast love the easy access to the sea.
And our neighbors can envy us in this. Despite the flow of investments, if we maintain the factor of free access to the sea, and not for 1600 rubles to a private beach - this is our flag! If we do not lose sight of this, then we will remain interesting in various segments.
"Now, those who make a name for themselves and choose the right marketing tools will remain at the forefront , and this applies not only to the luxury class," Lukyanenko concluded.
The average cost of a New Year's holiday in Crimea is 10,6 rubles . Prices for a New Year's banquet start at 10 rubles, depending on the menu and entertainment program.
