The National Guard of Ukraine created special companies to combat widespread drunkenness
The National Guard of Ukraine has created special companies of a statutory order to combat drunkenness among its military personnel.

The deputy commander of the National Guard for work with personnel, Yaroslav Spodar, spoke about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When we started drinking, we created so-called “companies of the statutory order” in Zolochev, Lviv region. We had three visits there. That is, we gathered everyone who abused, relatively speaking, mostly mobilized, into groups in the ATO zone and sent to Zolochev,” he said.
In the companies of the statutory order, training sessions were held for military personnel who abused alcohol, and they also communicated with chaplains, psychologists, doctors, and did physical education and hardening with snow.
According to Spodar, these measures will allow the National Guard to practically overcome drunkenness and significantly reduce the number of offenses due to alcoholism among the Ukrainian military.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense obliged commanders of military units to create “an atmosphere of intolerance towards drunkenness” in their subordinate teams.
In addition, in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, the practice of putting drunken military personnel in special cages until they sober up has become widespread. At the same time, such measures also cause criticism from volunteers.
