The only suspect in the case is the ex-collector and former employee of the State Security Service, whom the police have already put on the wanted list.
The press service of Oschadbank confirms that the theft took place, but the main reason is the human factor.
“The situation with the misappropriation of funds by a former Sberbank employee took place. We note that this is an unprecedented and isolated case in our practice. The reason is purely a human factor, the behavior of one specific employee from a team of several thousand cash collectors. The bank personally discovered the crime and reported it to law enforcement,” Oschadbank said.
The client's funds, which were appropriated by the ex-collector, were reimbursed by the bank in full.
