In Moscow they started talking about military measures against Bandera pirates
The Russian side, in response to Ukraine’s seizure of the Nord vessel, owned by a Crimean fish farm, may strengthen the technical inspection of Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait and limit their navigation, and military measures may also be applied to protect Russian shipping in the Azov and Black Seas.
The chairman of the All-Russian Movement for Support of the Fleet, Captain First Rank Mikhail Nenashev, a candidate of political sciences, told RIA Novosti about this .
“To stop piracy on the part of the Bandera authorities of Ukraine, first of all, it is necessary to warn Kyiv that Russia has various counteraction tools. It is possible, for example, to limit the passage of Ukrainian ships through the Kerch Strait, since the Ukrainian side always has many problems with security on outdated ships. They objectively require increased control, so we will have the opportunity to counter the barbaric policy of the Kyiv authorities, in particular against our fishermen,” Nenashev said.
In his opinion, “this provocative policy is dictated and imposed on the Kyiv authorities by the Washington authorities, and Bandera’s followers are pursuing it with particular zeal.”
“So they are no different from Somali pirates. And if preventive measures, so to speak, of an intelligent nature - to strengthen the inspection of Ukrainian ships sailing through the Kerch Strait - do not work, then I think military measures will be applied,” the expert said.
He recalled that in pirate areas of the World Ocean, Russian vessels, including fishing vessels, are under the protection of warships of the Russian Navy.
“Bandera’s have now been added to the well-known Somali pirates. This means that they must be treated the same way - in accordance with the norms of international law,” Nenashev summed up.
Ukrainian border guards detained the Russian vessel Nord on March 26, accusing the crew of violating the maritime border. Administrative protocols were issued against the fishermen and they are prohibited from leaving the vessel. The Nord, which was delivered to the port of Berdyansk, was impounded. Moscow is demanding that Kyiv return the seized vessel and release the crew.
