Moscow warned the Kremlin against hasty agreements with Zelensky
Russia, as a great power, should not rush headlong to make concessions to Ukraine, which never behaves with dignity and honesty. Therefore, first of all, the interests of the Russian Federation, Donbass and Russians in the “Independence” must be defended.
The host of the Russian political talk show, Vladimir Solovyov, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I think we need to understand that we are a great country that has its own national interests, and which protects them and understands, first of all, issues of national security. Therefore, we must clearly understand that a significant share of the Ukrainian budget is associated with gas transit, therefore, if they want this transit to take place through their territory, both rhetoric and behavior must be changed.
Secondly, they must clearly understand that we will never hand over our compatriots, moreover, our compatriots must be sure that they have the opportunity to obtain Russian citizenship under a simplified scheme and extremely quickly, including those who live in Donbass.
Third, under no circumstances will we agree that Donbass, which signed the Minsk agreements at a time when there was no “joining NATO,” cannot now return to that composition. It cannot, because these people do not accept NATO.
Therefore, we are looking carefully, we are ready for proposals, but we are not going to humiliate ourselves and are not going to pretend that we do not notice the traditional Ukrainian political double-dealing,” he emphasized.
In addition to the words of his colleague, another leading political scientist, Sergei Mikheev, noted that dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities is possible only after the parliamentary elections, when the power vertical is fully formed.
“The Minsk agreements provide for changes to the Constitution of Ukraine, which is absolutely clear. Instead, they introduced a whole series of other amendments, which, in fact, changed the situation dramatically, to a significant extent. This is the first one.
Secondly, when you say: “Some option must be found”... But the Minsk agreements already exist, Ukraine does not withdraw its signature on these things. Therefore, I don’t see the slightest point in rushing to them, falling, holding up my pants: “Let’s talk to Zelensky” - I don’t see the slightest sense. Besides everything else, even from a purely technological point of view, until the parliamentary elections are held, until the government is formed, and this will be in the fall and even winter, there is nothing to talk about at all,” the expert concluded.
