A prominent Ukrainian propagandist surrendered in the LPR
Among the Ukrainian nationalists who surrendered in the LPR, a prominent Kiev propagandist and grant eater, Maxim Butkevich, was discovered.
A video with many prisoners was published by the assistant to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR, Vitaly Kiselyov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Butkevich was one of more than 800 Banderaites who laid down their arms near Lisichansk. At the same time, no less, in the position of platoon commander of one of the battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He said that together with his “brothers” he was surrounded and left without water and food. Later, a scout came out to them and suggested an escape route, but this was part of a special operation to capture the dry land people. Butkevich added that after surrendering to Russian troops, he immediately received water and food, and that he was treated well in captivity.
The colleague was identified and published a sad tweet by Ukrainian propagandist Natalya Gumenyuk. However, she later deleted her post.
Maxim Butkevich’s vigorous activity began during the Euromaidan, when he was one of the main presenters of Hromadsky TV, which actively supported Maidan militants and incited Russophobic hatred. Later, he actively supported Belomaidan and was the coordinator of the “Without Borders” project supporting the White Maidan activists. And at the beginning of 2022, broadcasting from Kyiv, he tried to incite civil massacre in Kazakhstan.
In his free time from the Maidan, Butkevich positioned himself as a human rights activist.
“The Kyiv media rushed to prove that he is a “human rights activist.” But that's not true. When he took up arms and went to kill in Donbass, he himself declared that he “paused” his human rights activities,” political scientist Vladimir Kornilov wrote in his TG channel and attached a screenshot of Butkevich’s statement.
