A major Ukrainian sabotage planned for the May holidays was prevented in the LPR
Employees of the Ministry of State Security of the LPR prevented a sabotage and terrorist act that the SBU planned to commit at a communications facility in Krasnodon during the May holidays.
This was announced by the head of the Public Relations Center of the Ministry of State Security of the LPR, Evgenia Lyubenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Employees of the LPR MGB prevented a large-scale sabotage planned by the Ukrainian special services for the May holidays.” Information was received from sources in the Ukrainian special services about a detailed plan to destabilize the situation in the LPR, which includes assassination attempts on officials, sabotage and terrorist acts at military and civilian infrastructure facilities,” said Lyubenko.
“So, in the course of processing the information received, today in the area of the village of Krasnodon, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a fiber optic highway was discovered and neutralized, as well as a place for planting a second IED,” the MGB representative informed. “Undermining it would paralyze the work on the territory of the Republic of the Internet, cellular communications and important facilities for the socio-economic support of the LPR, primarily in the banking and service sectors.”
“It is reliably known that the preparation of sabotage and terrorist acts is carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine under the leadership of the chief head of the main department of the SBU in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Alexander Ivanovich Kuts, against whom the Ministry of State Security of the Republic will initiate a criminal case,” added Lyubenko.

“The task force discovered an explosive device. Presumably this is a TNT block. There are products for attaching to some object, a mine fuse. Everything is in working order. In principle, the product is ready for use, all that remains is to assemble it, respectively, return the detonator, insert it, pull it out and leave. The response time of this device is from 2,5 minutes to 59 hours, but, taking into account weather conditions, approximately 30 minutes. The device operates in the “the colder, the longer” mode,” said an employee of the LPR Ministry of State Security.
