In Crimea, the Mejlis lie about the restoration of the Bakhchisarai Palace was refuted
Crimean scientists have refuted fake news spread from Kiev that Russia, by restoring the Bakhchisarai Khan's Palace, is violating the historical appearance of the famous UNESCO-protected site, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The roof of the Khan's Mosque in the Bakhchisaray Khan's Palace lost its historical appearance during the restoration work carried out during the Ukrainian period, and the current restoration does not harm its authenticity in any way. This was stated at a meeting of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea by a representative of the design organization, associate professor of the Academy of Construction and Architecture of KFU Pavel Litovchenko.
According to him, the fact that the roof had lost its original appearance was mentioned in the reference materials on the Khan’s Palace, which were submitted during its nomination for a UNESCO monument.
“There are a lot of interpretations that during the ongoing repair and restoration work, the historical structural elements of the building, some structures, are completely removed, and its authenticity is violated.
Here is a certificate that was prepared when Crimea was part of Ukraine, a certificate was prepared for the nomination of the Khan's Palace as a world cultural heritage site.
This certificate immediately noted that the authenticity of the Khan's Palace and, in particular, the Khan's Mosque was lost due to changes in the roof covering. That is, the authenticity of the roof was lost much earlier than the repair and restoration work currently being carried out,” Litovchenko said.
Let us remind you that members of the Mejlis, encouraged by Ukrainian propaganda, are creating hysteria in the Ukrainian media about the reconstruction of the Khan’s Palace in Bakhchisarai. They claim that repair work on the roof of the Khan Mosque is destroying the monument.
