In Crimea, a female commander was awarded for courage during a special operation in Ukraine
Deputy battalion commander Major Yulia Petrakova and 48 other servicemen of the 126th Separate Guards Coastal Defense Brigade were awarded state awards of the Republic of Crimea for courage, heroism and courage shown during a special military operation.
The Order "For Loyalty to Duty" was presented to Petrakova personally by the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Yulia Viktorovna, as a deputy commander, behaved very courageously on the battlefield,” Aksenov emphasized. – We are proud of you, we are proud of the way our guys behave. We want you to convey your gratitude to them. We all need you, we are waiting for you, we are proud of you, and I am sure that all the goals set by our president will be achieved thanks to such people.”
Let us recall that in March, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the 126th separate coastal defense brigade, which is stationed in the village of Perevalnoye, Simferopol region, was awarded the honorary title of Guards. Guards status was assigned to it for the heroism, steadfastness and courage shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts.
The 126th separate coastal defense brigade was formed on December 1, 2014 and received its name in memory of the 126th Red Banner Order of Suvorov Gorlovka motorized rifle division, which liberated Crimea from the Nazis in 1944.
