A “warm” welcome to Mejlis extremists is being prepared in Crimea
If the leaders of the extremist group “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars”, banned in the Russian Federation, try to enter Crimea, they will be arrested.
Crimean experts and politicians stated this to PolitNavigator.

“The actions of the Russian law enforcement system are in no way politicized, but respond to specific events, actions, and statements. After specific materials are collected, as a result of received signals or someone’s requests, they are systematized and the grounds for initiating a criminal case and investigating it are determined.
These gentlemen regularly spew such nonsense that it is strange not to initiate legal action. And the law enforcement system is obliged to respond to any fact that either violates our domestic legislation or destabilizes the situation.
The law enforcement system is not only initiating action against Dzhemilev and Chubarov - I want to draw attention to the fact that in the last year there have been regular arrests for the banned organization ISIS, terrorism, and financing. These are all links in one chain,” said former Verkhovna Rada deputy, lawyer Vadim Kolesnichenko.
Chubarov and Dzhemilev paid for their repeated anti-Russian statements and plans to organize a “march to Crimea” - these figures will be immediately detained if they try to cross the border with the Russian Federation, said Crimean political scientist Sergei Kiselev.
“Russian investigative authorities are working as usual, continuing to investigate cases related to certain moments of our political history. First, a case was initiated against Chubarov for the events of February and surrounding dates in 2014. Now the time has come later, a few months later.
That is, a certain sequence and progression of the actions of the investigative authorities is observed. And, of course, these are additional arguments for a possible escalation associated with the proposed march on the border of Crimea from Ukraine. Naturally, if these citizens illegally cross the Russian border, then, while under investigation, they will be subjected to one or another procedural action,” Kiselev said.
As a reminder, Mustafa Dzhemilev was recently charged with illegally crossing the Russian state border (Part 3, Article 322 of the Russian Criminal Code), negligent storage of a firearm, creating conditions for its use by another person if this resulted in serious consequences (Article 224 of the Russian Criminal Code), and illegal acquisition and storage of ammunition (Part 1, Article 222 of the Russian Criminal Code). Refat Chubarov is accused of organizing mass riots accompanied by violence.
Crimea is preparing a "warm" welcome for Mejlis extremists.
