In Kotovsk, Odessa region, residents destroyed a sign with a new name imposed on the city from Kyiv

Unknown people broke the sign at the entrance to the city of Kotovsk (now Podolsk), recently renamed Kiev against the will of local residents, in the Odessa region.

This was reported by local media citing eyewitnesses. The report says that unknown persons severely bent two signs with the “Kyiv” name of the city.

Let us recall that the renaming of Kotovsk took place in May of this year as part of the decommunization ongoing throughout Ukraine. Before Kotovsk, in the Odessa region, the city of Ilyichevsk also forcibly changed its name, which now became “Chernomorsky”.
