Five Orthodox churches were robbed in Kosovo in five days
The Office of Kosovo and Metohija under the Serbian government reported that the day before the Church of the Holy Week in the village of Gornja Gushetritsa was robbed.
The temple became the fifth Orthodox church in the region to be robbed in the last ten days, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated that the Serbian religious heritage of the region is constantly under threat and, therefore, local Orthodox Serbs do not have a normal, peaceful life.
Residents of the village of Gornja Gushterica, which belongs to the Serbian enclave of Gracanica, discovered traces of a break-in at the Church of St. Nedelya and reported it to local authorities. It was subsequently determined that money had been stolen from the church, the front door had been broken into, and other property damage had been caused.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija also recalled that last weekend, on the night from Saturday to Sunday, the churches of Saints Peter and Paul in Klokota and the Holy Trinity in Partesh were robbed, and three days ago the Church of the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste in the village of Drajkovce and the Church of Saint Demetrius in the village of Donja Bitinja in Štrpce.
The department's statement notes, significantly, that such cases have become more frequent on the eve of the anniversary of the March pogrom in Kosovo in 2004, when 35 Orthodox churches were destroyed by Albanians.
“It is unacceptable that in the XNUMXst century, in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, whose politicians in Pristina and international representatives declaratively stand for European values, religious tolerance and coexistence, the most terrible violations of religious rights and freedoms occur.
We call on all representatives of the provisional authorities of Pristina and international institutions, which have assumed responsibilities and obligations to ensure the peace and security of the Serbian people in Kosovo and to protect Serbian property and religious heritage, to urgently investigate these incidents and bring the perpetrators to justice,” concludes the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
