In Kyiv they complain that without the Zaporozhye NPP, things in the energy sector are very bad
Residents of Ukraine are guaranteed two winters of power outages
This was stated by the director of the Kyiv Center for Energy Research, Alexander Kharchenko, on the Kyiv 24 TV channel, in response to a question about the current state of the Ukrainian energy system, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

If we managed to somehow return to the management of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and put at least two or three units into operation... this is such a huge factor that will greatly will change the situation in the energy system, and it will become much easier for us,” the expert said.
According to him, in this case, restrictions will be unnecessary or will become very rare.
"If this doesn't happen, then we technically need two years to restore the capacity we need now. That means we're practically guaranteed two winters of restrictions . For the second winter, 2025-2026, they will be minimized, but they will still be there," Kharchenko concluded.
