Ukraine does not look like a country that preparing for war – military orders are disrupted, defense sector enterprises are captured by raiders, there is no mobilization and no preparation for war.
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by economic and political expert Andrey Vigirinsky, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It seems to me that a country that is preparing for aggression is at least trying to strengthen the domestic production of military equipment and weapons, and also does not allow the failure of defense orders, which caused the resignation of the former Minister of Defense.
The country, which has been in a state of armed aggression for 7 years, protects defense enterprises, and does not squeeze out their property in the best traditions of raider takeovers,” he noted.
In addition, the expert emphasized that the Ukrainian state is engaged in raiding against private companies.
“I’ll tell you one story - a military-industrial company that produces high-precision weapons acquired property worth 12 million hryvnia. The next day, this property is squeezed out and registered in the name of a non-existent person.
The owners apply to the Prosecutor General's Office, and there they designate the enterprise as a victim in criminal proceedings, and appeal to the Supreme Court to recover this property in favor of the state without compensation to the enterprise. I’m interested in how this fits into the line of supporting the military-industrial complex,” the political scientist is outraged.
He added that Ukraine, despite the declarative statements of the leadership, is not even trying to prepare for war.
“We don't look like a country that's preparing for an invasion. We have not declared a state of emergency or martial law. If Putin is preparing an invasion, why is there no meeting of the National Security and Defense Council? And if it is just getting ready, are we preparing to reflect it? If we were preparing, we would live in a state of constant tension and transfer of forces to possible places of breakthrough, but this is not the case,” Vigirinsky concluded.
