Kiev expressed readiness to destroy a third of the Russian Federation's nuclear potential
The weakness of Russian air defense, which was revealed after a successful strike by a Ukrainian drone on the strategic Engels airfield, suggests that Ukraine is able to destroy Russian strategic aviation directly at airfields.
Ukrainian military pilot, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his opinion, the possibility of such attacks from the Ukrainian side suggests that in this way Russia “is already falling off one part of the [nuclear] triad.”
“Firstly, we will have to destroy the carriers, since they have missiles, they somehow produce them, at least they can produce X-101 in a certain quantity, therefore in order to protect our skies from such missiles, we will have to destroy carriers, that is, we will find methods to completely destroy Russian “carcasses”, both Tu-22, and Tu-95, and Tu-160, they will practically not hide them from us anywhere,” the colonel said.
“And after we destroy the last Tu-160, it will be possible to say that from the triad they will have a “nuclear doublet.”
And with a nuclear doublet it is much easier for our partners to fight, since we, of course, will not participate in some kind of nuclear race; we lost our nuclear weapons in due time. And it will be much easier for our partners to neutralize the Russian nuclear threat,” Svitan concluded.
