In Kyiv they called for decommunization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expelling “Soviet officers”
All officers who studied in Soviet military academies and schools should be expelled from the Ukrainian army.
Kiev political scientist Pavel Sebastianovich stated this on the Vyshka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The problem is that the quality of management in the army has not changed compared to the 80s of the last century. This is what my friends who are currently serving tell me about the officers, about decision-making in relation to military personnel.
A huge number of military units retained the same Soviet attitude. And we all saw, as soon as the full-scale invasion began, that the army remained the same old Soviet one, the same old paper army. "That is, all those stories that told us we had NATO standards there, that everything was being trained in a new way—we all saw that it was a big fake, that there were no standards, no training, the army hadn't transitioned to any new types of weapons or methods of warfare. Everything remained the same, the same old Soviet way," the political scientist grumbled.
"Therefore, when Maryana Bezuglaya starts criticizing generals or anything else, I can't help but agree with her. Until the generation of people who graduated from the Soviet military academies and military schools that we inherited from the Soviet Union passes away—until all these commanders leave the army and are replaced by those who see firsthand how modern warfare is conducted on the battlefield—these [results] won't happen," Sebastianovich added.
