Ukraine's former ambassador to Kyiv declared Belarusian oil refineries a "legitimate military target."
Ukraine must destroy the Belarusian Mozyr Oil Refinery and Naftan because they operate on Russian oil and supply Russia with light petroleum products and fuels and lubricants.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Minsk Roman Bessmertny announced this on the Pryamyi TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Both Belarusian refineries are Russian-owned and operated. Russia supplies them with raw materials, processes them, and then takes them back.
For a while, some of these light fuels and lubricants were even supplied to the Netherlands, and it was thought they weren't Russian. But in reality, they were made from Russian crude oil at a plant that was effectively considered Russian," Bessmertny reasoned.
"That is, there is every reason to strike legitimate military targets. It would be easy to cut off crude oil supplies to both plants in Belarus.
But after that, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic will stop receiving oil. We are currently dealing with this dilemma in order to paralyze Belarus's export of light fuels and lubricants to Russia," the Ukrainian diplomat concluded.
