Kyiv, March 11 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – In Kyiv they are afraid that the militia may launch an offensive by Victory Day. People's Deputy of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko stated this on TV channel 112.

According to him, Ukraine will be able to contain the offensive “if it is ready by that time.”

“I think that this truce will certainly end for a while, sooner or later. The question is how strong the Ukrainian nation will face the next offensive. There is a lot of evidence that the offensive will most likely be timed to coincide with May 9th. If by that time Ukraine is strong enough militarily, as well as diplomatically, then we can avoid such an offensive,” Gerashchenko said.

Kyiv is rightly anxiously awaiting May 9th.
