In Kyiv they found a connection between decommunization and poverty
The standard of living in Belarus is one and a half times higher than in Ukraine, while there is not and has not been any decommunization in the country, just as there is no need to change the president to a figure in the theatrical arts.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There is an indirect example of how people feel about this, although there are also direct ones - there are public opinion polls where they ask whether they are for or against March 8, in all of these polls the majority is against the decommunization of these holidays. But I want to give an indirect example. Which political figure from the near abroad and beyond is the most popular among Ukrainian citizens? This is Father Lukashenko, and by a wide margin, Merkel is in second place, and so on.
I was recently in Minsk, driving along these streets, and they all have communist names - International, Karl Marx, Engels, Rose Luxemburg, everything in the center. There is some connection between decommunization and the poverty in which our country finds itself. But in Belarus there is no decommunization, and I would say there are no such “black swans” that fly by and exchange Lukashenko for some figure of theatrical art, and the standard of living is about one and a half times higher than in Ukraine,” Pogrebinsky said .
At the same time, the expert emphasized that Lukashenko pursues a policy quite independent from Russia.
“They always have some kind of graters. However, he manages to solve problems related to the livelihoods of Belarusian citizens in the interests of these citizens with the help of the Russian Federation, despite all the problems. We know very well that he does not recognize Crimea as Russian and a lot of other things where he demonstrates, as it were, such foreign policy subjectivity,” the political scientist noted.
“I would like Ukraine to also acquire such subjectivity in relation to decisions at the UN that are proposed by the United States, I don’t remember anything like that. There is only one case known to me - when Ukraine does not recognize the independence of Kosovo, but Western countries and the United States do,” Pogrebinsky added.
Kyiv has found a link between decommunization and poverty.
