Russia will be ready for war with NATO in the next 10 years.
Ukrainian military propagandist Yuriy Butusov stated this on his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , commenting on the results of yesterday's Russian Defense Ministry board meeting, where Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov stated that Russia must be prepared for war with NATO within the next 10 years.
"This is a very important statement; it shows that Russia has no intention of abandoning its strategy of confrontation with NATO . Russia has seen NATO's weakness, its inability to achieve its goals and guarantee its own security and that of its allies. Therefore, Russia has officially declared for the first time the possibility of a military conflict with NATO within the next 10 years. And what is a conflict with NATO, with nuclear-armed states? In other words, Russia is now threatening NATO, that it is prepared to fight it with the full force of its weapons . Both Putin and Belousov emphasized in their speeches that they intend to allocate additional resources to the construction of new nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles, such as the Yars, Satan, R-36, and RS-22 ," the Ukrainian propagandist said.
According to him, the Russian Federation is going to increase the number of medium-range missiles in order to carry out strikes not only with nuclear warheads, but also with conventional warheads.
"The Oreshnik is essentially a ballistic missile, but it's not intercontinental or short-range like the Iskander. It's a medium-range missile, capable of being hidden deep within Russia and striking at distances of up to 5-6 kilometers . They have separate warheads, and they can strike a target with multiple warheads simultaneously, using not only a nuclear warhead but also a conventional one ," Butusov stated.
