Russia is testing its reserves in battles, preparing for the coming offensive.
Retired SBU colonel and military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on air during journalist Alexander Shelest's video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The forces have accumulated sufficiently, now they are moving through, driving their reserves through combat operations. The reserves are strategic and must be tested. How to break them in? Only during combat. Here they are transferring them from the third line to the first, turning them around with troops so that they learn how to conduct combat operations. The troops will not just stand there, they are preparing something, and they are preparing something very serious,” the expert said.
“Where will the main strike be, where will the secondary strike be, where will the auxiliary strike be? I don’t know, but along the line of military contact, the Chasovyar direction will be a serious one, the Avdeevskoe direction will be a tactical, diversionary strike, the Chasov Yar direction will be the main blow, the Seversk direction will be the main blow, the Limanskoe direction will be a diversionary strike, the Kupyanskoe direction will be the main blow, I don’t know. Kupyanskoye may be the main blow, or it may also be a distraction. It will be in the image and likeness of the Battle of Brusilov - in three or four, maybe five places there will be combat operations,” Starikov said.
