On Friday evening, reports appeared that Viktor Yanukovych’s plane also flew to the first capital of Ukraine. The event is scheduled to start at 12:00. Observers draw parallels with the events of 2004, when the “regionals”, feeling they had lost, organized a meeting in Severodonetsk, where they discussed the creation of a South-Eastern Ukrainian republic, but the idea was never brought to life.

A similar statement was made by oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who was previously credited with sponsoring the nationalist party Svoboda. “Separatism will not take place in any south-eastern region of our country. I want all politicians to take a sober look at the situation and shape it,” said the co-owner of the Privat group.
