In Kyiv they guessed why Russia is hitting Ukraine’s energy sector
The United States is not interested in a long war in Ukraine, since it is forced to bear the costs of maintaining the Kyiv regime, scattering itself in the face of the need to confront China.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on air on the channel "Yes, That's Right," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

According to Bortnik, Russia’s attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector greatly increase the West’s spending on supporting its puppets.
“America and the states on whose territory there is no war, they look two, three, five, ten years ahead. They understand that Russia's resource base allows it to fight for a very long time.
Attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure lead to an increase in the cost of this war, including for Western partners. More money should be given to Ukraine, because the economy is falling completely short. Our National Bank speaks directly about this.
They understand that in this situation of a long war, even if there is no direct winner, China wins, because those efforts to limit the growth of China, the global competition of China, which should now have been directed by the Western world, are now largely directed to Ukraine.
They understand that the longer the war lasts, the greater the risk of nuclear escalation and the transfer of this war to other regions.
Now, Russian-Iranian cooperation leads to a sharp strengthening, military-technological, of Iran in defiance of Israel, a key partner of the United States in the region. And there may be more such stories with Iran, Venezuela, Africa in the future.
The situation is not drastic, but it is moving along the path of global imbalance, which the United States is, of course, not interested in globally... They are interested in fixing the point of moderate defeat for Russia, they are ready to do this - fixing a moderate defeat for Russia without its defeat.
But where this point of moderation is now was being decided, including between Zelensky and Biden,” Bortnik said.
Kyiv has figured out why Russia is targeting Ukraine's energy sector.
