The district administration reminded that the service organization has the right to apply to the court to collect the amount of debt for utility bills.
“If the debtor does not have an income item, the issue of debt repayment is resolved through the sale of his property. That is, a person who owes more than 10 thousand UAH risks losing his apartment, even if it is his only home,” the message says.
The district administration noted that the situation with the timely payment of utilities by Kiev residents at this time remains quite problematic for the capital.
“Every consumer must realize that the greatest enemy of a person who has received the status of a debtor is his irresponsibility and inactivity. Therefore, we hope that the people of Kiev will consciously address this issue and regularly make payments for services,” said the head of the Svyatoshinsky District State Administration, Ilya Sagaidak.
