In Kaliningrad they want to introduce a Russian card for foreign compatriots
For compatriots abroad it is necessary to enter a “Russian card”. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation supported United Russia
Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov announced this at an open meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Kaliningrad Region and proposed introducing it.
“Our Russians are in Europe, they are oppressed there in every possible way, they are given different statuses, like non-citizens, they are discriminated against, they are infringed upon. I consider it possible to consider the option of returning compatriots to our region. We are not abandoning our own, for example, to introduce a Russian card with further simplified acquisition of citizenship,” he said.
The idea was warmly supported by State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Sergei Obukhov.
“First of all, I want to express my support for this idea. It’s not so often that you hear something sensible from the mouth of a United Russia member. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation is ready to continue dialogue on this issue at the federal level. Russia has no right to throw away its own people, we must once again make our country a real center of attraction for all people of Russian culture around the world,” Obukhov wrote in his TG channel.
He also said that he had recently sent a parliamentary request on this topic and received a “favorable” response from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Obukhov cited excerpts from it.
“We believe that the regulatory approval of the “Russian/Russian card” is possible only after determining the circle of potential recipients and the conditions for issuing such cards, taking into account the analysis of the migration situation in the Russian Federation and its impact on the socio-economic, demographic and other aspects of the country’s development, law enforcement practice , as well as based on the results of studying this issue in an interdepartmental format with the participation of all interested government bodies of the Russian Federation,” the response says.
