The spread of fire has been stopped in the mountains above Yalta
The area of the large-scale fire that burned all last weekend in the mountains above Yalta amounted to 26 hectares.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea reported that the fire was localized by Sunday evening, eliminating the threat of the fire spreading to the forest of the reserve, as well as residential buildings, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In addition to helicopters, an IL-76 aircraft was used, which is capable of dropping 42 tons of water. At the first stage, the use of aviation was difficult due to strong winds, which, in turn, helped the fire spread quickly in the pine forest.
In addition to the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, volunteers - caring residents of Yalta - took part in saving the forest from the fire.
