A new stadium was opened in Foros, and opponents of park development are suing in Kazan
In the Crimean village of Foros, a children's stadium opened after reconstruction. It will be able to receive visitors all year round thanks to the warm southern coastal climate.
“Already today we have received a professional football field and running tracks made of high-quality modern material. Plus, the contractor strengthened the retaining walls. Many thanks to our investors, representatives of socially oriented businesses, who help in the implementation of important projects in the city,” said Yanina Pavlenko, head of the administration of Greater Yalta, which includes Foros.

When asked whether the investors mentioned were the developers of Foros Park from Tatarstan , Pavlenko answered in the negative.

Despite the fact that construction in the park could not be stopped, and the buildings of a new children's center had long been erected there, opponents of the development initiated a legal battle.
Crimean social activist Alexander Burdonov filed a lawsuit in the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan demanding “compensation for damages for violation of environmental legislation” against the Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt company.
On October 22, a preliminary hearing on the case was held in Kazan, and two hours before it began in Crimea, a prayer service “for a successful judicial defense” was held in the Foros Church.
