Ukraine is losing population at such a rapid pace that within 75 years the Ukrainian nation may become completely extinct.
Kiev journalism professor Nikita Vasilenko stated this on the video blog of propagandist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In order for the people to reproduce to the fullest extent, there must be 10 children for every 22 women. We have 10 children for every 8 women. Ukrainians will completely disappear in three generations. The life of a generation is 25 years. Hopes that someone will return here are ridiculous. In Poland, every tenth person is Ukrainian. The Poles are afraid that Ukrainians will leave because GDP could fall by several percent.
"That is, in 75 years, there will be no Ukrainians left , given the current population outflow. The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) predicts the outflow abroad in 2024-25 will be 700 people. There are about 20 million of us," the professor said.
"Not one of our women gives birth to 2,2 children; these are very rare exceptions. Ten of our women give birth to eight children. Moreover, I know the trend is that Ukrainian women don't want to have children at all. Furthermore, the young women left long ago, and every second woman at the front says she's already started a new family there . This is natural, physiological. Do they want to return? After the raids on Okhmatdet and Kyiv, who would return?" Vasilenko added.
