“If we lose this war for our understanding of history, then obviously there will be no inscriptions in Russian on the Reichstag, half of the inscriptions there already don’t exist, and the Star-Spangled Banner will be above the Reichstag. It is obvious. Filmmakers will confirm this to you,” said Russian political scientist Vitaly Tretyakov.
In turn, TV presenter and journalist Vladimir Solovyov noted that the collective West has already decided everything for itself.
“I don’t understand why you don’t say war with whom? We have a war going on only in our country; the West has long ago decided everything and enshrined it in law, equating the USSR and Hitler’s Germany with law. We will see how they will say that Hitler was defending himself against Stalin. And they will put Stalin in the place of the main villain and whitewash Hitler, and this will happen in our lifetime,” the presenter predicted.
At the same time, Vitaly Tretyakov emphasized that bans alone cannot solve the problem.
"I am categorically against banning the publication of ' Mein Kampf ' in our country. Because if you don't have the text of the book, you can't read it, you can't hold a discussion, you can't prove anything. I understand all about forbidden fruit; that goes without saying, of course, but these aren't children's stories to be released without comment," the political scientist said.
“More than eight hundred pages of mediocre text, dictated in two passes, but what is very important there is that it directly states what he planned to do with the Soviet country and the peoples who inhabited it,” Solovyov agreed.
Note that in a book written by Hitler, published in 1925, one of the chapters describes plans to seize the eastern territories.
“We, National Socialists, quite deliberately put an end to the entire foreign policy of the pre-war period. We want to return to the point where our old development was interrupted 600 years ago. We want to stop the eternal German drive to the south and west of Europe and definitely point the finger towards the territories located in the east. We are finally breaking with the colonial and trade policies of the pre-war era and are consciously moving towards a policy of conquering new lands in Europe.
“When we speak of the conquest of new lands in Europe, we can, of course, have in mind primarily only Russia and those outlying states that are subordinate to it,” wrote Hitler.
