Donetsk announced disobedience to Surkov

The recent statement by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR Parliament, Denis Pushilin , and the Deputy Speaker of the LPR Parliament, Vladislav Deinego, regarding the possibility of Donetsk and Luhansk returning to Ukraine as broad autonomies does not reflect the opinion of Donbas.

The corresponding statement was released by Roman Manekin, a consultant to the DPR government.

" Does anyone consider Denis and Vlad independent figures? Has anyone ever considered them as such? It's clear they're voicing Vladislav Surkov's position, which is anything but Donetsk's. Moreover, Denis is a man forever discredited in the eyes of the militia by the events of the spring and early summer of 2014 (when he was forced to flee to Moscow and returned with a slate) and was specifically appointed by Surkov to fulfill the unseemly role of mouthpiece for the Presidential Administration (even Andrei Yevgenyevich Purgin, despite his inherent vanity, refused the role of mouthpiece for Minsk, not to mention Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko and Alexander Kofman)," Manekin wrote on Facebook.

He emphasizes that the mood in Donetsk and Lugansk today is such that even the entry of the American army into the military campaign will not be able to force the cities to return to Ukraine.

“To be honest, without verbal balancing act: guys, dill will not be able to enter Donbass! Neither themselves, nor together with the Americans, nor under the guise of the quasi-diplomatic activities of Surkov’s “chicks of the nest” and the performers: NO WAY! This contradicts the very course of things, the general mood in Donbass,” Manekin emphasizes.

“Remember how Mykola Azarov explained the emergence of the Maidan? “We OURSELVES spent a very long time convincing people to integrate into the EU, and then, at one point, abandoned the association agreement.” Vladislav Surkov is pushing the DPR down this very path!” – says the Donetsk political scientist.
