“On July 6, 2017, the military tribunal of the Supreme Court of the DPR, having examined, on the basis of MGB materials in a closed court session, a criminal case accusing a native of the Lvov region, citizen of the Russian Federation, Alexander Galagan of committing a number of crimes, was sentenced to eighteen years in prison,” it says. court decision.
“Galagan voluntarily surrendered to the Ukrainians as a prisoner - before that he fought on the side of the DPR,” the MGB press service told PolitNavigator.
“Immediately he revealed state secrets to which he had access, namely the location of military units, the functions of unloading ammunition, the quantitative composition of the armed forces of the DPR, the locations of our military units. The SBU invited him to cooperate, he immediately agreed. He was offered to undergo a training course with the aim of committing sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of the republic. In Vinnitsa, according to him, the instructors were from NATO - Poles, British, and Americans. After the course, he received an assignment to go to the territory of the DPR and commit acts of sabotage and terrorism there. He was given fake documents, while he realized that he was using fake documents. While illegally crossing the border, the DPR was detained by employees of the Ministry of State Security and the border service.
