A Crimean defector who dreamed of “liberating” the peninsula was liquidated in Donbass
In the conflict zone in Donbass, a soldier of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, former Crimean Georgy Olkhovsky, call sign “Olkha”, died.
This is stated in the blog of the brigade, also known as the “Transcarpathian Legion,” reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
It is reported that the militant was killed by a sniper in the LPR.

“On the night of August 23, Ukrainian Flag Day, the life of a senior lieutenant of the 128th brigade in the Lugansk region was cut short by an enemy sniper’s bullet. Olkhovsky lived in Lutsk, but was originally from Crimea. Crimea, which dreamed of liberation. Crimea, which I dreamed of seeing as Ukrainian again,” the message says.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy and former commander of the Ukrainian nationalist battalion "Aidar" Serhiy Melnychuk stated that Ukrainian authorities now prefer not to remember the "heroic deeds" of the volunteer battalion fighters and refuse to honor veterans of the Donbas massacre.
PolitNavigator also reported that a nationalist from the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps (formerly Right Sector) was killed in the fighting near Peski.
In addition, a Ukrainian serviceman who attempted to cross the demarcation line to the DPR side was killed by his former comrades.
