The DPR warned of new Ukrainian provocations
Representatives of the Special Operations Forces unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, specializing in sabotage, arrived in the JFO area.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information received from the intelligence of the People's Militia of the DPR, a group of 35 military men from the 6th Special Forces Regiment of the Special Forces arrived in the area of responsibility of the 8th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Yesterday, three of the arriving MTR fighters were spotted in the “buffer zone” between the checkpoints on our and Ukrainian sides, where they, under the guise of civilians, inspected the area and the road. After which they returned back to Ukrainian-controlled territory,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He noted that all three are part of a unit of the 8th regiment, whose task is to conduct sabotage and reconnaissance operations.
The representative of the defense department did not rule out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a number of provocative actions aimed at destabilizing the situation on the contact line, as well as falsely accusing units of the DPR People’s Militia of violating the truce.
“The victims of this kind of sabotage can be civilians of Donbass or international observers visiting this area for the purpose of inspection,” added Daniil Bezsonov.
