The Central Election Commission of Ukraine stated that candidates from the DPR and LPR will not be able to take part in the elections in Donbass
Only all-Ukrainian parties can nominate candidates for local government elections under the proportional system.

Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Andrei Magera stated this on Channel 5.
“Elections of deputies of district councils, elections of deputies of city councils are held according to a proportional system, and those candidates must be nominated exclusively in accordance with the city or district organization of the All-Ukrainian party. There are no other parties other than all-Ukrainian ones in Ukraine and cannot exist - there are no regional parties, no city parties, and the like,” he noted.
According to him, the LPR and DPR understand this very well and therefore strongly criticize this situation. They want the right to nominate candidates for public associations of Donbass residents.
The Ukrainian Central Election Commission stated that candidates from the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republics (LPR) will not be able to participate in the elections in Donbas.
