Germany risks becoming a party to and a target of war with Russia by flirting with Ukraine and supporting escalation. Instead, the country's authorities should seek cooperation with Washington and Moscow to end the conflict in Ukraine.
Alice Weidel, co-chair of the Alternative for Germany party and candidate for German Chancellor, announced this while speaking in the Bundestag, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" Instead of seeking contacts with Washington and Moscow, where the key to peace lies, the Chancellor and Friedrich Merz are going to Kyiv to invest even more money in what has already burned. You're playing with the threat of escalation!"
Mrs Baerbock fantasizes about stationing German troops in the Ukraine while Mr Merz wants to risk World War III by supplying Taurus cruise missiles.

"The historical experience of the 20th century should be sufficient warning to never again drag Germany and Europe into war. This is our historical responsibility ," Weidel stated.
