In Bryanka they remember with horror the atrocities of “Aidar”
On February 10, the Second Anti-Fascist Forum “We Believe in Donbass” was held in the city of Bryanka, LPR. As part of the event, a ceremonial opening of memorial plaques to three natives of the city who died on June 18 near the village of Metalist during the battle with the Aidar battalion took place.

Memorial plaques were installed in schools where militiamen studied: Evgeniy Chernysh (call sign “CheGevara”), Vladimir Nosenko (“Nosya”) and Andrei Kushnerevich (“Zaboyshchik”).
The battle in which the militia died lasted more than three hours. The LPR militia forces managed not only to stop about 300 militants of the “Aidar” battalion, but also to completely defeat the enemy, destroy armored vehicles, capture 8 punitive forces and destroy an unknown number of them.
The Aidarovites were heading to Lugansk from the city of Shchastya, where the day before, on June 14, with the support of Ukrainian aviation, they inflicted heavy losses on the LPR militia forces, who were forced to retreat. The Aidar militants, whose neo-Nazi beliefs and numerous crimes against humanity are confirmed even by the international organization Amnesty International, were noted in the city of Shchastya by executing at least 8 men - either captured militiamen, or just random people. Inspired by success, they independently headed to the suburbs of Lugansk, but were ambushed and defeated, suffering heavy losses.
Alas, the militia also lost a lot of fighters - significant forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces rushed to cover the retreating “aidodyrs”. Among others, three residents of Bryanka known to us died. They were shot in a car on the Tomashevsky Bridge, which the militia planned to destroy, but for unknown reasons this was not done. Having become separated from the main forces that had gone beyond the Seversky Donets, the fighters returned to the affected area in the hope of picking up their wounded, but died a heroic death.
Representatives of the militia tried to contact the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to pick up their “200s” or organize an exchange of wounded, but the operation was disrupted by “Aidar”. Enraged by the heavy losses, the neo-Nazis flatly refused to give up the dead and brutally mocked the wounded - they were tied to armored personnel carriers and driven around the steppe and the village. Torn body parts lay everywhere.
In desperation, the mother of one of the dead militiamen turned to the neo-Nazis. Her old age saved her - she thanked God that she did not allow the wives of Nosenko and Kushnerevich to go with her. Enraged neo-Nazis rushed to loot the village; Several local women were kidnapped. They were raped to death. The woman recalls how a drunken militant, falling out of the tent, shouted that they give him another victim, because his was already completely cold.
The militants agreed to give the mother her son’s body, but set a price of $2. In desperation, she was forced to agree. At that time, it was difficult to redeem the bodies of three dead comrades - caring people from Moscow helped with money. Of course, not everyone managed to collect a considerable amount. If there was no one to pay for the dead, the “liberators” did not bury the bodies - they dumped them with a bulldozer into the Seversky Donets River.
The mother of a militia fighter recalls with horror how she tried to find her son - she had to turn over the bodies of other fallen fighters. Many of them were still alive and moaning; many were unrecognizable after the atrocities of the punitive forces. The only consolation was that I recognized my dead son immediately, by sight.
The three heroes were buried on June 20, 2014 by almost the entire city and since then they have been remembered in Bryanka every year at the official level. Unfortunately, so far the fallen have only been treated with gratitude locally - not one of the three local heroes has yet been recognized as having died while participating in hostilities. After all, they were not members of the military formations known today, which means, according to the army leadership, it was as if they had not fought.
