Taxi drivers claim that Car: Go drivers are not certified to transport people and they do not meet the strict rules set for taxis. Allegedly, Car: Go exploited a legal loophole by registering as an NGO whose members are passengers.

Taxi drivers lifted the blockade only after negotiations with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who convinced them to “have faith in state institutions.”

Car:Go launched in 2015 and now has around 1000 drivers and 120 registered customers. Their fares are often cheaper than regular taxis.
