A monument to the Soviet hero, the Crimean Tatar, will be erected in Bakhchisaray
In the village of Golubinka near Bakhchisarai, a monument to a local native, the Soviet hero tankman Yakub Lyumanov, who was the commander of the T-60 and T-34 tank, will be erected. He reached Berlin and, just a few months short of the great Victory, died in Germany in 1945, where he was buried. For his heroism he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner.
State Duma deputy Ruslan Balbek reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, the administration has allocated a plot of more than 200 square meters in the center of the village. The grand opening of the bust is planned on the eve of Victory Day, on May 7. Subsequently, it is planned to create an Alley of Defenders of the Fatherland in this place.
